A large party was held to welcome Ketler Lysius, S.J. , who will accompany Fr. Eddy Modestin, S.J. in the Mission of the Santa Teresa del Niño Jesús Parish.

It is a parish belonging to the Diocese of Jeremie, in the south of the Island.

It is an area very affected first by Hurricane Mathew and lately by the 2021 earthquake. For this reason, it is a territory of Missions that requires from the Jesuits who have been present there since last year, great strength and creativity to be able to accompany and promote the gospel in the midst of the many difficulties that arise.

The arrival of Ketler reinforces the dedication and passion of Fr. Eddie who spreads out in the area awakening initiatives in favor of the community that is already beginning to mobilize. Ketle has just finished his studies at Javerian in Colombia and with great dedication, he is already, as the cover photo shows, ready for the “MISSION”.
