PRIESTLY AND DIACONAL ORDINATION IN HAITI: FOR CHALLENGING TIMES

On August 5th, the Priestly Ordination of Robenson Siquitte and the Diaconal Ordination of Ketler Lysius took place in Haiti, both as members of the Society of Jesus.

The ceremony brought together Jesuits, family members, and friends in a solemn atmosphere filled with prayer for the newly consecrated individuals.

Today, the Society comprises 26 priests, engaged in social and educational works across the country. Simultaneously, a significant group is either completing their specialized studies or undertaking their mission in the Province of Canada.

After years of dedicated training, the new priest will carry out his pastoral work in Boston, where he will finalize his specialized studies. On the other hand, Ketler, as a deacon, will continue his service in the Parish of Carrefour Charles in the southern part of the island, alongside his role as a teacher in Jeremie.

They will be priests during challenging times…
